Job summary

Humanzlab is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations in the United States. The role focuses on keeping employee information and certifications accurate, managing HR records, and handling HR inquiries.

You will monitor tracking systems, follow up on outstanding requirements, and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple HR tasks and deadlines while ensuring confidentiality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience as an HR Generalist or similar role for a U.S.-based company.
  • Experience in employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
  • Familiarity with U.S. payroll processes and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and employee requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel/Sheets.
  • Handle confidential employee information professionally.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and following up on outstanding tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor employee tracking systems and regularly review records for outstanding or incomplete items.
  • Follow up with employees and managers regarding pending HR requirements, documentation, and action items.
  • Monitor and track required employee certifications, including ServSafe, and ensure certifications remain current.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee certifications, expiration dates, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with employee documentation, onboarding paperwork, forms, and other general HR administrative tasks.
  • Maintain organized and accurate employee files and HR records.
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR-related matters and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Track open HR issues and coordinate with appropriate parties to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain HR trackers, spreadsheets, databases, and other systems used to monitor employee information and requirements.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all required documentation and checklist items are completed.
  • Support the HR team with various administrative and operational tasks as needed.
  • Ensure employee information is handled accurately and confidentially.
  • Identify missing, outdated, or inconsistent employee information and take appropriate steps to resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare basic HR reports, status updates, and tracking summaries when needed.

Job description
