Job summary

Parkside Hospital in Tulsa, OK is seeking an HR Generalist to support recruitment, onboarding, leave management, training, performance and compensation/benefits.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor’s in HR, 3–5 years HR experience (medical HR preferred), and familiarity with Paycom. You will help maintain compliance with federal and state laws and partner with the Employee Engagement team to foster a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
• 3-5 years HR experience; medical HR preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
• Experience with Paycom preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the recruiting and applicant workflow including job postings, assessments, interview schedules, and pre-employment screenings.
• Manages onboarding, new hire orientation, and data entry into HR systems with accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains personnel files and documentation in accordance with federal and state laws.
• Assists in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
• Assists in developing and executing HR procedures and policies, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Work with the Employee Engagement team to foster a positive culture.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and reporting related to HR processes.

We are seeking an HR Generalist!

The Human Resources Generalist will be a valuable member of the HR Department and one of the points of contact for Parkside employees. This position will assist in carrying out the organization’s Human Resource management strategies including but not limited to administrative activities related to; recruitment and onboarding, leave management, HR related training and education, performance management, and compensation/benefit management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the recruiting and applicant workflow including job postings, assessments, interview schedules, and pre-employment screenings.
• Manages the integration between recruiting and onboarding to ensure a streamlined process that is efficient and offers a positive candidate experience.
• Manages and coordinates all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains personnel files and documentation in accordance with federal and state laws. including new hire, medical, personal, and payroll information documentation.
• Assists in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
• Assists in developing and executing Human Resources procedures and policies.
• Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.
• Work with other members of the Employee engagement team to implement programs and experiences that foster a positive organizational culture.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations related to new hire and termination procedures and maintain all proper documentation.
• Proven experience working in an HR department.
• Working knowledge of HR related state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws.
• Previous experience educating and enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Strong ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population; both written and verbal, problem solve, and diplomatically handle any escalations.
• Self-driven attitude with ability to meet organizational goals.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes and best practices and previous experience with HRIS Systems.
• Ability to maintain flexibility in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

HR GeneralistEducation and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
• 3-5 years of Human Resources experience. Previous Medical HR experience preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
• Experience with Paycom preferred.
