Job summary

D&D Foods, Inc is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, attendance, timekeeping, and employee relations. The role collaborates with management to ensure policy compliance and promote engagement.

You will maintain HR records in Workday, assist with recruitment and retention initiatives, and serve as a backup to senior staff. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; a high school diploma with HR education is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • One or more years of Human Resources, office administration experience or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains food safety; report deviations to supervisor.
  • Maintains temporary and D&D employee time records for weekly payrolls; reconciles records.
  • Submits and approves timecards weekly.
  • Facilitates the recruiting and hiring process, including posting job openings and tracking applicants.
  • Assists with phones and gates; answers calls promptly with friendly service.
  • Assist employees regarding policies, attendance, scheduling, benefits, PTO, and HR questions.
  • Escalates employee relations concerns to the Director of Office Administration & HR Operations as appropriate.
  • Assists with developing recruiting and retention initiatives to support staffing needs and retention.
  • Maintains accurate employee information and HR records in Workday and other HR systems.
  • Orders and maintains supplies for production employees.
  • Assists with employee engagement events.
  • Creates monthly birthday/work anniversary calendar and employee posts.
  • Serves as backup for the Director of Office Administration & HR Operations and other roles.
  • Supports the HR department and front office.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
