Our software helps organizations streamline operations, improve compliance, and maximize asset performance.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join our People team. The ideal candidate has experience with payroll, benefits, and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you’ll work closely with the Senior Human Resources Manager to support a wide range of HR initiatives and day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and is excited to help shape and streamline people processes as the company continues to grow in the U.S. and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Generalist & M&A Support

  • Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes in the HRIS.
  • Partner with the Senior HR Manager on integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and assist with compliance audits and reporting.
  • Help implement scalable HR processes and tools as we grow.

Payroll & Tax Compliance

  • Assist with end-to-end payroll processing using ADP, ensuring timely and accurate payroll for multi-state employees.
  • Register new states for payroll tax purposes and maintain up-to-date compliance with all relevant state and local tax regulations.
  • Set up and maintain tax profiles and unemployment insurance accounts in new jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with Accounting on payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits.
  • Ensure accurate employee classification, earnings, and deductions.

Benefits Administration

  • Assist in administering employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k).
  • Support the Senior HR Manager in reviewing and assessing benefits plan options ahead of open enrollment; partner with Finance and brokers to evaluate offerings and recommend solutions that align with both company goals and employee needs.
  • Coordinate and execute open enrollment, including communication, system setup, and employee support.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee benefit questions and manage vendor relationships to resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in an HR role
  • Hands-on experience registering for state tax accounts and multi-jurisdiction payroll
  • Experience with multi-jurisdiction compliance
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (or equivalent HRIS/payroll system).
  • Solid understanding of federal and state labor laws, payroll tax laws, and benefits regulations.
  • Experience supporting HR in M&A environments is a plus.
  • Startup or high-growth company experience is highly preferred.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus but not required.
