Job summary

Frontline Source Group is seeking an HR Generalist to manage payroll, benefits, onboarding and employee relations in a hybrid role (4 days onsite, 1 day remote). You will ensure compliance with multi‑state payroll laws while supporting HRIS upgrades and data integrity in a U.S.

holding company context. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, 3–5 years payroll‑focused HR experience, and hands‑on ADP Workforce Now expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience with dedicated payroll processing responsibilities.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on ADP Workforce Now experience.
  • Experience with HRIS implementation (time and attendance, onboarding, payroll, or benefits modules).
  • Strong multi‑state payroll knowledge; California experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute accurate and timely multi‑state payroll cycles across two entities with separate payroll platforms and pay schedules.
  • Administer time and attendance, review timesheets, resolve discrepancies, and process deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and off‑cycle checks.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, taxes, and wage and hour laws in California, Alaska, Idaho, and Texas.
  • Collaborate with Finance on payroll approval, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Lead or support quarterly and year‑end regulatory reporting, including W2s, 1094C/1095C (ACA), and 941 filings.
  • Support 401(k) administration: manual entries for hires/terminations, deduction codes, Section 125, employer match true‑ups, annual testing, and the audit.
  • Lead or support HRIS implementation, configuration, and testing of new modules (benefits, open enrollment, onboarding) in partnership with HR, IT, and vendors.
  • Serve as primary HRIS system administrator—manage data migration, integrity, security, permissions, and troubleshooting.
  • Generate HR reports, dashboards, and metrics; create user guides; train managers and employees on self‑service tools.
  • Support daily benefits administration: invoice reconciliation, payroll deductions, carrier portal administration, open enrollment, life‑event changes, and terminations.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and convert manual processes to automated HRIS workflows.
  • Handle basic employee relations inquiries, escalating matters appropriately and promoting a positive culture.
  • Maintain employee records, digitize paper files, and assist with compliance reporting and audits.
  • Travel periodically to California for training and support.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to train staff on technical systems.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and strict confidentiality.
