Job Summary:
Meneses Law has an immediate opening for an HR Generalist II to join our dynamic law firm. The HR Generalist II will assist the HR Director with day-to-day administrative functions, including comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures and working with other HR team members to oversee these policies. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure smooth onboarding.
- Collaborate with department managers to draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Assist employees with benefits and enrollment questions.
- Maintain records of new hires and ensure compliance with hiring policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Create, update, and apply all HR policies and company guidelines, ensuring adherence to standards and laws.
- Educate employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
- Generate official internal correspondence, such as verification of employment.
- Assist in preparations by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc.).
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality with organizational information.
- Promote a culture conducive to effective relationships among diverse staff members.
- Perform any other necessary tasks for daily operations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Successful track record in filling job requisitions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive and independent with initiative.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with technology and ability to learn our software systems, including applicant-tracking software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and MacOS systems.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of HR operations (recruiting, onboarding, training, compensation).
- Knowledge of record-keeping principles and procedures.
- Excellent command of English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Typing speed of 45 WPM or more.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- At least 3 years managing all phases of recruitment, compliance, and hiring processes.
Compensation:
Meneses Law values work-life balance. Operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with two Saturdays a month for certain positions.
