Job Summary:

Meneses Law has an immediate opening for an HR Generalist II to join our dynamic law firm. The HR Generalist II will assist the HR Director with day-to-day administrative functions, including comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures and working with other HR team members to oversee these policies. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct new hire orientations and ensure smooth onboarding.
  2. Collaborate with department managers to draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  3. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  4. Assist employees with benefits and enrollment questions.
  5. Maintain records of new hires and ensure compliance with hiring policies.
  6. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  7. Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  8. Create, update, and apply all HR policies and company guidelines, ensuring adherence to standards and laws.
  9. Educate employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
  10. Generate official internal correspondence, such as verification of employment.
  11. Assist in preparations by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc.).
  12. Maintain the strictest confidentiality with organizational information.
  13. Promote a culture conducive to effective relationships among diverse staff members.
  14. Perform any other necessary tasks for daily operations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Successful track record in filling job requisitions.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Proactive and independent with initiative.
  4. Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  5. Proficiency with technology and ability to learn our software systems, including applicant-tracking software.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and MacOS systems.
  9. Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
  10. Understanding of HR operations (recruiting, onboarding, training, compensation).
  11. Knowledge of record-keeping principles and procedures.
  12. Excellent command of English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  13. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  14. Typing speed of 45 WPM or more.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years managing all phases of recruitment, compliance, and hiring processes.

Compensation:

Meneses Law values work-life balance. Operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with two Saturdays a month for certain positions.
