The Company

Paleovalley is a modern health-conscious snack and supplement company. We are committed to making delicious, high-quality products that do not cut corners. We source from certified organic farmers using regenerative agricultural practices. Our goal is to support our customers with better alternatives to the health-damaging junk foods and synthetic supplements lining the grocery store shelves.

Wild Pastures, our sister company, is on a mission to transform the meat industry. We deliver 100% grass fed, pasture-raised, environmentally-regenerative beef, chicken and pork and sustainably caught, wild seafood directly to our customers’ doors. We have incredibly high standards for our meat – all being raised in the USA by small-scale family farmers on lush pastures free from human-caused chemicals.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This remote position supports key HR functions including HRIS administration, performance management (with a focus on attendance tracking and running performance review cycles), data and reporting support, and project coordination. This role is a mix of employee-facing and behind the scenes HR operations support. The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in HRIS systems, a strong understanding of HR operations and performance management best practices, and a passion for accurate data management and employee support.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Configure and audit all HRIS data regularly, and ensure accuracy by correcting settings as needed to ensure proper system operations. Work to improve efficiency of HRIS processes.
  2. Act as the first point of contact for system access, troubleshooting HRIS issues, and supporting user questions. Manage user accounts, train users on HRIS functions, and create related training materials as needed.
  3. Serve as the main point of contact to generate standard and ad hoc reports as needed.
  4. Partner with the HR Manager to compile data for government reporting or related tasks and create dashboards for reporting and tracking metrics.

  6. Partner with cross-functional teams in HR, Payroll, and Finance to ensure accurate data flow.

Performance Management & Employee Relations Support:

  1. Coordinate and manage the ongoing performance review process throughout the year.
  2. Administer attendance policies, track occurrences, and assist managers with documentation and disciplinary actions. Track timekeeping concerns, support audits, and ensure documentation aligns with compliance standards.
  3. Provide backup support for employee relations, and support investigations by compiling relevant documentation, attending or conducting interviews, and assisting with follow-up.
  4. Draft or prepare documentation related to performance, attendance, and disciplinary actions in partnership with the HR Manager.
  5. Support managers with guidance and training on performance management.
  6. Maintain HR records and documentation in compliance with state and federal laws.

Project Management & General HR Support:
