Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking an HR professional to oversee the full local HR lifecycle—from hiring and mobility to exit—along with local training, compensation, labor relations, and HR reporting within a specific region.

You will support the HR Director, help users navigate HR tools, and develop strategic ad hoc reports while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. The role includes onboarding, audits, and maintaining personnel records with strong customer service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (business, organizational management, human resources management or related degree) and a minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-look up, etc.).
  • Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, and Cornerstone experience preferred.
  • Multi-state experience is preferred.
  • Must have experience supporting front-line management
  • Experience in warehousing, manufacturing or distribution environments strongly preferred.

  • Provides exceptional customer service to all employees by answering employee questions and/or responding to employee inquiries.
  • Administers drug testing programs and coordinating quarterly random testing as required.
  • Maintains employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements and retention policies.
  • Processes all invoices for the department in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for onboarding all new employees, ensuring that all paperwork has been received and processed in a timely manner, including I-9 verification.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to: Brenntag Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust Compliance Policy, Protective Agreement, Dispute Resolution Agreement, DDOL, EEOC etc.
  • Supports the vision and mission of the company.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as needed to support the human resources department.
