Job summary

CMC is seeking an HR Recruiter to manage staffing needs across its Fredericksburg and King George locations, with travel to NJ every other month. This role focuses on recruiting activities, new-hire orientation, and maintaining data in the ATS.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in HR-related roles, bilingual Spanish, and strong knowledge of federal/state employment laws. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in HR recruitment, employee relations, benefits or training.
  • Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA and related federal/state laws.
  • Strong client-facing skills with a consultative mindset and problem solving ability.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure staffing needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Manage recruiting activity and documentation in the ATS and comply with affirmative action policies.
  • Conduct new employee orientations.
  • Foster positive employee relations and support CMC culture.
  • Handle day-to-day HR transactions and maintain data accuracy in the system.
  • Assist with compliance programs to meet government regulations (EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
  • Participate in compensation planning, performance assessment and employee development.
  • Educate employees about benefits and support annual enrollment.
  • Provide training and facilitation as needed.
  • Communicate issues to HR Manager and support policy implementation.

  • Salary Range: The anticipated base salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually

What You'll Do
  • Responsible for making sure all staffing needs are met in a timely manner
  • Ensure all recruiting activity and documentation is managed in CMC's applicant tracking system and in accordance with affirmative action policies
  • Responsible for new employee orientations
  • Ensure positive employee relations and build the CMC culture based on our Guiding Principles
  • Responsible for day-to-day transactions such as processing new hires and employee data changes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of information entered in the system
  • Oversee implementation of CMC programs to comply with various governmental regulations dealing with EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA and other related Federal & State laws
  • Assist with investigations and formulate responses to government, legal or internally reported employee relations charges
  • Participate in compensation planning, performance assessment and employee development planning
  • Understand and educate employees regarding CMC's benefits, including support of the annual enrollment process
  • Training and facilitation
  • Identify and communicate general issues and concerns to the HR Manager and participate in solving such issues
  • Ensure consistent CMC policy implementation
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 3 years work experience required in human resources. This could include a combination of recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training, compensation, or labor relations
  • Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, DOL, E-Verify, and other related Federal & State laws required
  • Strong client facing skills with a consultative mindset and ability to effectively problem solve
  • Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
