Job summary

Elevait Solutions LLC is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist for a nonprofit health system in Southern California. Based at an Orange County hospital, you will investigate and resolve employee relations issues, counsel managers, and support workforce development and HR process improvements.

You will partner with hospital leaders, deliver trainings, and help maintain compliant policies across federal and California labor laws.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of HR experience with hands-on employee relations and investigations.
• Working knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including wage and hour.
• Experience using an HRIS.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, and recommend outcomes based on findings.
• Advise managers on HR policy, corrective action, suspensions, and terminations.
• Counsel employees on workplace concerns and career development.
• Administer unemployment insurance claims, review liability reports, and track program costs.
• Keep investigation notes, follow-up letters, and case summaries accurate and complete.
• Analyze workforce metrics and trends, including conducting exit interviews.
• Lead HR and employee relations projects from planning through completion.
• Deliver trainings for managers and staff as requested.
• Take part in hospital culture and engagement meetings, and help run onsite employee events.
• Support department performance improvement work and recommend process changes.
