Job summary

Leggett & Platt Flooring Products in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking an HR Generalist to help coordinate recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and compliance. You will support FMLA/Disability processes, employee relations, and performance management while partnering with site leadership to align policies with company goals.

The role requires a bachelor's degree with 2+ years of HR experience (or 5+ years of HRM in lieu of a degree) and strong interpersonal, communication, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience preferred or 5+ years HRM in place of degree.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment helps, especially in policy applications.
• Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations relevant to the region.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting, advertising, and hiring processes for incoming talent.
• Support administration of the branch affirmative action plan.
• Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Maintain relationships with temporary staffing agencies and assist with workforce needs.
• Partner with branch management to promote consistent policy application.
• Support training initiatives and performance management processes.
• Create and sustain employee development programs.
• Assist with administration of employee benefit programs.
• Support FMLA and Disability processes and Workers’ Compensation coordination with the Safety Manager.
• Provide guidance to management and employees on employee relations matters.
• Assist in coordinating employee engagement activities and communications.
• Prepare separation paperwork, conduct exit interviews, and track turnover trends.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws and reporting requirements.

We, at Leggett & Platt Flooring Products, are searching for a Human Resources Generalist for our Fort Worth, Texas location, employing approximately 90 employees. Did you know Leggett & Platt Inc. is the largest manufacturer of carpet cushion and hard surface underlayment in the United States? Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam, rubber, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. Our flooring underlayment products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material in your home or business. So, what will you be doing as an HR Generalist?

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience preferred or 5+ year experience in HRM in place of degree
• Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
• Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
