Job summary

Leggett & Platt Flooring Products in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an HR Generalist to support a workforce of about 90 employees. You will coordinate recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and policy implementation in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting, advertising, and hiring processes for incoming talent.
• Support the administration of the branch Aff.
• Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Maintain relationships with temporary staffing agencies and assist with workforce needs.
• Partner with branch management to promote consistent application of company policies.
• Support training initiatives and performance management processes.
• Create and sustain employee development programs.
• Assist with the administration of employee benefit programs.
• Support FMLA and Disability processes and assist with Workers’ Compensation coordination alongside the Safety Manager.
• Provide guidance and support to management and employees regarding employee relations matters.
• Assist in coordinating employee engagement activities and communications.
• Prepare separation paperwork, conduct exit interviews, and track turnover trends.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws and reporting requirements.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience preferred or 5+ year experience in HRM in place of degree
• Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
• Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
