Job summary

Pretium Packaging is seeking an hands-on HR Manager with EHS responsibilities for our plant in Peru, Illinois. The role combines HR leadership with workplace safety responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll assistance, and HRIS data management while driving OSHA and environmental compliance and safety training. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years HR experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HR experience (EHS exposure preferred).
• Effective communication and employee engagement skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA and environmental compliance.
• HRIS and Microsoft Office proficiency – UKG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle hourly recruiting, onboarding, and orientation.
• Partner with leaders on employee relations and performance management.
• Assist with benefits, payroll support, and HRIS data management.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Lead safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain SDS documentation and EHS records.
• Investigate incidents and implement preventative measures.
