Parkview Care and Rehabilitation Center in Massapequa, NY, is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead all HR operations for the skilled nursing facility. The role drives HR strategy, ensures regulatory compliance, supports employee engagement, and partners with leadership to foster a positive workplace culture.

The position requires overseeing recruitment, benefits, payroll, performance management, training, and policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of New York State employment laws and healthcare regulations.
• Strong payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all HR functions for the facility.
• Develop and maintain HR policies compliant with regulations.
• Ensure NY DOH, CMS, OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA compliance.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation.

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Parkview Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Director to lead all Human Resources operations within our skilled nursing facility. This leadership role is responsible for driving HR strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting employee engagement, and partnering with leadership to build a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Human Resources functions for the facility.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with New York State Department of Health (DOH), CMS, OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and all applicable labor laws.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation.
• Maintain employee personnel files and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
• Monitor employee licensure, certifications, health requirements, and mandatory training.
• Oversee employee benefits administration and enrollment.
• Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, disability, paid leave, and workers' compensation.
• Partner with department managers on staffing, workforce planning, and employee retention initiatives.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Conduct workplace investigations while maintaining appropriate documentation and confidentiality.
• Coordinate unemployment claims and workers' compensation cases.
• Monitor employee attendance and assist with attendance management programs.
• Develop and support employee recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Coordinate annual performance evaluations.
• Assist with compensation reviews and wage administration.
• Support payroll by ensuring personnel records and employee status changes are accurate.
• Prepare HR reports related to staffing, vacancies, turnover, and workforce metrics.
• Educate employees on company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist leadership during Department of Health surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Serve as the facility's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and anti-harassment resource.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Previous Human Resources experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of New York State employment laws and healthcare regulations.
• Strong understanding of payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
