Job summary

Uber’s People Operations department seeks a skilled Employee Data Specialist to handle complex HR data transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalable processes across the employee lifecycle. You will be the SME on employee data management, collaborating with Payroll, IT, and cross-functional teams to improve processes and maintain a trusted system of record.

The role requires 2+ years of HR data experience, familiarity with Workday or Oracle, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of HR experience, with direct experience in HR data management.

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve Tier 2 escalations, providing guidance that goes beyond a standard script.
• Execute complex transactions and lifecycle events—such as new hires, job changes, or terminations to keep system of record accurate.
• Act as liaison between employees, vendors, and COEs to resolve inquiries and ensure service consistency.
• Operationalize new programs and participate in UAT for system enhancements with regional considerations.
• Research and resolve data discrepancies, collaborating with Payroll, IT, and other People Ops teams.
• Refine Tier 0/1 knowledge content to help AI solve more problems before reaching the desk.
• Analyze ServiceNow and HRIS data to identify friction points and recommend scalable solutions.
• Monitor data quality through audits and propose process improvements.
• Assist in preparing reports or dashboards for People Ops leadership.
• Support UAT for system enhancements and new functionality.
