Job summary

Rakuten is seeking an experienced leader to own HR data management in Colorado. You will steward the data governance framework for Workday HCM, drive automation and AI adoption, and partner with HR, Payroll, Legal, IT, and Finance to align data strategy with business goals.

You will lead a team of HR data professionals, manage cyclical programs with data components, and escalate senior data judgment to navigate complex datasets. Excellent executive communication is essential.

Qualifications

6+ years of progressive experience in HR data management, HRIS, or workforce analytics.
2 years leading a team or formally managing direct reports.
Solid Workday HCM knowledge.
Demonstrated experience leading cyclical HR programs with significant data components.
Proven ability to navigate complex data situations requiring senior judgment.
Excellent executive communication skills.
Experience in an HR shared services or HR Operations environment.
Familiarity with Workday's AI/ML capabilities or other HR technology AI tools.

Responsibilities

Own HR data management at Rakuten.
Manage the data governance framework for all Workday employee data.
Lead, develop, and retain a team of HR data management professionals.
Own the HR data workstream for recurring high‑stakes programs.
Champion automation and AI adoption within HR Data Management.
Serve as a strategic partner to HR, Payroll, Global Total Rewards, Finance, Legal, IT, and HRIS.
