Job summary

Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians is seeking a Human Resource Coordinator to assist with HR processes for Tribal Government and non-gaming enterprises. This role acts as liaison between employees and HR and provides administrative support including record-keeping and HRIS entry.

Indian Preference is in hiring per Band policies; candidates must submit documentation of Indian heritage. The role reports to the HR Manager and supports recruiting, employee relations, and training functions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 2 years HR experience or 5 years in HR.
• Fingerprint roller certification or eligible within 6 months.
• THRP certification or able to obtain within 12 months.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and protocols.
• Excellent computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Answers employee requests and questions.
• Assist with Form I-9 processing and documentation.
• Process departmental purchases.
• Audit payroll, benefits or HR files as assigned.
• Assist with terminations and retention standards.
• Assist with recruitment and interview process.
• Track candidates in HRIS and send follow-up letters.
• Enter data into HRIS and schedule meetings.
• Maintain employee files and retention records.
• Prepare reports and correspondence as requested.
