Job summary

HGL is seeking an organized HR Coordinator – Onboarding & Compliance to support onboarding operations and HR compliance across the employee lifecycle. This role handles onboarding activities, maintains HR records, and supports compliance initiatives to ensure a positive new hire experience.

The ideal candidate is process-driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including onboarding documentation, scheduling, and communications.
• Administer onboarding packets and ensure completion of required employment documentation.
• Coordinate pre-employment activities including background screenings, drug screenings, and onboarding requirements.
• Process and maintain I-9 and E-Verify documentation in compliance with federal requirements.
• Coordinate new hire orientation logistics and onboarding workflows.
• Serve as a point of contact for new hire onboarding questions and support.
• Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
• Support HR compliance initiatives, audits, and reporting requirements.
• Monitor and track required acknowledgments, compliance training assignments, and onboarding documentation.
• Assist with labor law posting coordination and compliance administration.
• Support document retention and recordkeeping processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
• Perform HRIS data entry and maintain employee records with accuracy and timeliness.
• Support HR operational processes and workflow tracking in Nutrient, ADP, and SharePoint.
• Assist with maintaining onboarding and compliance documentation and procedures.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.

Responsibilities/Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Onboarding Coordination

  WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  Details

  Work Schedule: This is a full-time hourly non-exempt role. HGL office work is dictated by a 5-day work week with 40 hours per week anticipated Monday through Friday.

  Office Type: This is a full-time, in-office position for the first 90 days. After 90 days, a hybrid work schedule of two days work from home, three days in office.

  Travel: Up to 5% is possible, but not likely.

  A favorable pre-hire drug test is required.

  The hourly rate for this position ranges from $23.77-$32.08 per hour.
