WHAT'S THE JOB?

  • Reporting directly to the President of Ideal, your mission is to provide comprehensive and confidential support to the Ideal team, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of HR procedures and contributing to a positive and compliant work environment.
  • You will assist in the coordination, scheduling, and facilitation of HR procedures and employee safety compliance needs, playing a key role in onboarding and offboarding processes. You will be responsible for conducting new hire orientations, collecting new hire paperwork, and managing account setups.
  • You will maintain employee files in our HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality, and assist with benefit and workers' compensation administration. You will also assist with recruiting, including job postings, resume review, phone screens, offer letters, and background checks.
  • You will support HR compliance by maintaining employee certification files, tracking deadlines for performance evaluations and annual training, and assisting with injury response and follow-up. You will collaborate with others in the organization on training and development programs, safety awareness initiatives, and building maintenance requests.
  • You will support the coordination of and occasionally present at company meetings, will order office supplies and employee uniforms, and will provide administrative support to various departments as needed.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 1-3 years of office or HR experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Google Suite.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in planning events and building company culture is a plus.
  • Ability to adjust tasks in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints of staff or guests.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management and staff.
  • Must possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Availability during standard business hours (Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM with a 1-hour daily lunch), with occasional overtime or schedule adjustments as needed.
  • Being bilingual in English/Spanish is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, lift/carry up to 30 lbs, operate a computer, sit for extended periods, communicate in-person/virtually/at distances, and drive and have access to reliable transportation to offices.

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

$22-24/hour (DOE), with generous medical, dental, 401k, PTO accrual, 10 paid holidays, and other benefits. Ideal covers 90% of employees and 25% of dependent medical insurance premiums.

WORK LOCATION

Ideal Restoration headquarters: 1499 Evans Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94124 (with easy access to free parking). This role may be eligible for occasional remote work. This will be discussed during the interview process.
