Job summary

Trojan Battery Company is hiring a Human Resources Compliance Specialist in Santa Fe Springs, CA to ensure a compliant and ethical workplace. You will oversee employee relations, wage-and-hour compliance, and HR policy development in a manufacturing environment.

You will conduct investigations, audit timekeeping, and partner with leadership to mitigate risk while promoting a respectful culture and adherence to labor laws. Onsite role with direct impact on workforce operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business admin, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience with focus on employee relations and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, wage/hour regulations, and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations investigations and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (FLSA, wage/hour).
• Audit timekeeping and attendance; enforce policies and accurate records.
• Conduct prompt, impartial investigations into complaints and disciplinary matters.
• Provide coaching on performance management and corrective action to leaders.
• Maintain confidential documentation of HR cases and investigations.
• Analyze trends in ER issues and advise on proactive risk mitigation.
• Support development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Oversee timekeeping systems (Workday preferred) and HRIS data accuracy.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, EHS and leadership to address workforce challenges.
