Job summary

The Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) is seeking a student intern in communications, fundraising, events, marketing, or nonprofit work to support donor engagement, storytelling, and event planning.

This program runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, with a 35 hours per week schedule and a stipend of $9,650 for the full program, disbursed bi-weekly. Applications close November 30, 2026 (priority by October 15, 2026).

Qualifications

  • Current undergrad/grad student in communications, nonprofit management, marketing, business, journalism, event management or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Professional, collaborative, and dependable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Interest in philanthropy, nonprofit work, healthcare, or biosciences preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and internship programs.
  • Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Help maintain HR records and employee data.
  • Participate in projects related to talent development and workplace culture.
