This position reports directly to the Human Resource Executive for the ministry, the HRBP III is a trusted partner and consultant to various Direct Client Management Teams of the ministry. This position will also be a key Subject Matter Expert for key functions of Human Resources Team, i.e. Compensation, L&D, etc. To enable a high-performing workforce, you will collaborate with client leaders to drive cultural initiatives, organizational effectiveness, and talent engagement. You are the champion and change agent for employees at all levels, proactively developing and implementing Human Resources integrated solutions to complex ministry and organizational needs.
As the HRBP III, you will coach leaders and provide guidance and expertise to develop and execute strategic plans in workforce planning, organizational design, restructuring, change management, leadership effectiveness, and talent management. You will partner and collaborate with other HRBP's and other HR team members to develop continuous improvement plans, drive people programs and processes to help achieve the ministry’s objectives. You will provide partnership and support with constantly improving processes to execute the Total Rewards and Talent Management strategies.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Understand key ministry priorities of client groups to support ministry leaders in effectively leading their organizations.
- Build trust, coach, and work with leaders and employees at all levels to drive a high-performing and highly engaged ministry culture to achieve the ministry’s mission and vision.
- Partner with leaders to develop and execute in the areas of organizational design, workforce planning, role design, change management, talent review, and succession planning for your group to improve performance in key human capital metrics to ensure a healthy organization.
- Analyze data trends and drive solutions, programs, and policies to improve organizational objectives such as performance, team effectiveness, retention, and engagement.
- Collaborate with HRBP colleagues and other organizational stakeholders to resolve escalated issues and generate solutions to enable the client's business strategy.
- Lead day-to-day HR activities for cross-functional client groups, such as interpreting corporate policies, procedures, employee relations, performance management, incident management, etc.
- Support leaders by successfully managing all cyclical people processes (performance management, talent management, succession planning, compensation planning, etc.).
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
- Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
- Partner with other HRBP’s to enable strategies to support the client’s needs.
- Act as Project Manager for various HR projects by providing project plans and monitoring progress and completion by scheduled deadlines.
- Be a knowledgeable resource regarding all ministry HR policies and procedures as contained in the Team Member’s Handbook.
- Maintain employee records as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of previous experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in a non-profit environment.
- Proven ability to influence and drive change with leaders across agile organizations, aligning the people strategy with business goals and growth.
- Proven success in delivering high-impact people operations programs around performance management, culture, team member engagement, and retention.
- Understanding and knowledge of all aspects of human resources, including (but not limited to) Total Rewards, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Organization Design and Development, Coaching, etc.
- Intimate knowledge of US employment laws/regulations.
- HR certification is a plus.
- Experience working with HRIS systems; Paylocity experience strongly preferred.
