Job summary

Acuren is seeking an HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic bridge between HR and operations, aligning HR priorities with business strategy across regional services in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on compensation, recruitment, policies, and regulatory compliance within corporate guidelines.

The HRBP will provide regional support, ensure excellent execution of HR initiatives, and work five days a week in-office to support the regional business goals and employee experience at Acuren.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or related field preferred.
  • Professional HR designation would be considered an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience across multiple HR disciplines.
  • Knowledge of HR functions, processes and best practices.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality and credibility.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR best practices and continuous improvement; mentor and guide regional processes.
  • Understand regional business strategy and objectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Coach regional managers on HR programs (design, performance, change, engagement).
  • Develop leader capability through coaching on organizational issues and performance.
  • Attend client group leadership meetings and participate in discussions.
  • Collaborate to standardize program delivery with HRBP colleagues.
  • Work with HR Service Center to develop HR programs and solutions.
  • Share experiences and best practices to support growth.
  • Analyze HRIS metrics to improve programs and processes.
  • Develop strategies addressing emerging issues and trends.
  • Communicate policies and educate staff on procedures.
  • Maintain currency on jurisdictional employment laws.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Assist regional management to reduce legal risk and ensure fair treatment.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a vital conduit between Human Resources and operations management, serving as a strategic partner to align human resources priorities with the business strategy by delivering comprehensive and fully integrated, sustainable HR programs for regional/service line functions of Acuren. This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating regional human resource activities to maximize and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance in compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Provide regional support on day-to-day HR tasks and initiatives to ensure HR is positioned to execute with excellence.

Position details:

  • This is an in-office position (5 days per week) out of San Diego, CA.
  • Full-time permanent role, Monday-Friday 40 hours/week
  • Salary range is $90,000 - $110,000/annual
Responsibilities
  • Providing HR Best practices and continuous improvement; mentor providing guidance under corporate strategy and initiatives and regionally driven processes.
  • Establishing and maintaining an intimate understanding of the regional business strategy and objectives
  • Developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Coaching and educating regional managers regarding HR programs such as organizational design, performance management, change management, employee engagement, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development
  • Develops business leader capability by providing ongoing coaching on key organizational and management issues, and feedback on personal and team performance
  • Attends and actively participates in client groups’ leadership and management team meetings and discussions
  • Working closely with HRBP colleagues to establish consistent and standardized program delivery strategies
  • Collaborating with the HR Service Center and Communities of Expertise to develop and implement HR programs and solutions
  • Sharing situational experience and best practices to support growth and development
  • Analyzing trends and metrics produced by the HRIS team to develop and enhance solutions, processes, and programs that improve program effectiveness
  • Collaborating to develop strategies to address emerging issues and trends
  • Communicating and educating Managers and staff regarding organizational policies and procedures
  • Maintaining currency and supporting regional understanding of jurisdictional employment legislation
  • Developing integrated approaches and education to support diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Assists regional management to reduce legal risk and enable fair and consistent treatment of employees
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or any other related field preferred
  • A professional Human Resources designation would be considered an asset
  • 5 plus years of years of experience working with multiple human resource disciplines
  • Knowledge of Human Resources functions, processes, and best practices
  • Knowledge of Employment related legislation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and office support systems
  • Familiarity with functioning of HR Information Systems.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, credibility, and confidentiality
  • Collaborative approach with colleagues, employees, external contacts
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent demands
  • Analytical ability and sound judgement, including the ability to apply established guidelines and criteria in diverse situations

  • Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
