Job summary

Warren Equipment Company seeks a Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a strategic partner across all business units, delivering HR counsel and support. The role covers many HR practices through day-to-day activities and aims to align people programs with business goals.

You will coach managers on performance, employee relations, benefits, and compliance while helping to enhance internal processes and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college and 1–2 years related experience.
• Experience coaching management on employee relations.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Current driver's license.
• HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR).

Responsibilities

• Coach and advise managers on performance management, discipline, terminations, reward and recognition, and retention strategies.
• Advise management in the resolution of complex employee relations issues.
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
• Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Inform employees on benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
• Partner with HR management to improve processes to improve internal customer experience.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of people, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Deliver pre-determined training to ensure compliance with federal and local guidelines.
• Support on a variety of HR initiatives.

The Human Resources Business Partner will be a strategic partner to all business units to provide HR counsel and support. This person will demonstrate a broad scope of knowledge and experience of HR practices though day to day HR activities.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience coaching management on employee relations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Current drivers' licenses.
• HR certification, preferred (SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR)
