Job summary

The Warren Administration Company is seeking a strategic HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted adviser to multiple business units, providing counsel on HR practices and day-to-day activities.

You will coach managers on performance, employee relations, benefits, and regulatory compliance while driving improvements in processes and the internal employee experience.

A bachelor's degree is required and HR certification is preferred; some travel (up to 20%) may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience coaching management on employee relations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR).

Responsibilities

• Coach/advise managers in performance management, discipline, terminations, rewards and recognition, and retention strategies.
• Advise and coach management on resolution of complex employee relations issues.
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
• Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Inform employees on benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, and leave of absence.
• Partner with HR management to improve processes to enhance internal customer experience.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of people, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Deliver predetermined training to ensure compliance with federal and local guidelines.
• Support on a variety of HR initiatives.

The Human Resources Business Partner will be a strategic partner to all business units to provide HR counsel and support. This person will demonstrate a broad scope of knowledge and experience of HR practices though day to day HR activities.

• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of people, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Delivers pre-determined training to ensure compliance with federal and local guidelines.
• Support on a variety of HR initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience coaching management on employee relations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• HR certification, preferred (SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR)
