Job description

Antidote Health is a tech-driven health insurance company on a mission to make healthcare easier, accessible, and more affordable. We’re rethinking how healthcare works—using technology to remove the friction, complexity, and delays that define the traditional system. Instead of navigating paperwork, long waits, and disconnected experiences, we’re building a simpler, more connected way for people to get care.

Our platform combines health coverage, virtual care, and a modern member experience into one seamless system designed to help people actually use their benefits.

We offer Affordable Care Act (ACA) health plans in Arizona, Ohio, Georgia, and Texas, and we’re growing quickly. We’re building a company focused on solving real problems—with real impact on people’s lives.

Position Overview

We’re hiring an HR Business Partner to help shape how we support our people and grow our business.

As our HR Business Partner, you’ll help leaders build effective teams, navigate people decisions, and turn business priorities into practical action. You’ll develop a strong understanding of the teams you support, anticipate challenges, and bring recommendations that strengthen both organizational performance and the employee experience.

At our stage of growth, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how we work and take ownership of making it happen. You’ll coach managers, independently resolve employee relations matters, and partner with the VP of HR to build programs and practices that bring clarity and consistency to a fast-moving environment.

We’re looking for someone who builds trust quickly, offers a thoughtful point of view, and follows through. You should enjoy working through ambiguity, balancing immediate needs with longer-term priorities, and introducing structure that helps the business move forward.

You will report to the VP of HR.

Location and Scope: This role is based in New York with a hybrid work arrangement and will initially support managers and employees across the US and Israel. Geographic responsibilities may evolve as the business and HR team develop.

What You’ll Do
  • Strengthen manager capability. Coach managers on performance management, feedback, difficult conversations, employee development, and team effectiveness. Help leaders address challenges early and build productive, accountable teams.
  • Connect people decisions to business priorities. Partner with the VP of HR and functional leaders on organizational structure, hiring plans, workforce planning, and change. Develop recommendations grounded in an understanding of each team’s goals and challenges.
  • Own employee relations. Independently manage workplace concerns, investigations, performance issues, corrective actions, and separations from intake through resolution. Apply sound judgment, maintain appropriate documentation, and engage the VP of HR and legal counsel when warranted.
  • Provide trusted employee support. Be an approachable, responsive resource for employees on policies, employment matters, and everyday HR needs. Partner with internal and external resources to resolve benefits, leave, and payroll questions in line with applicable local requirements.
  • Manage the US PEO relationship. Own the relationship and service outcomes across payroll, benefits, and compliance support. Hold partners accountable, resolve escalations, and address recurring issues.
  • Build HR practices that support growth. Partner with the VP of HR to develop, implement, and improve programs that meet evolving business needs. Introduce consistency and structure while keeping practices practical and easy to use.
  • Strengthen the employee experience across locations. Support onboarding, engagement, and culture initiatives that help employees connect, contribute, and succeed. Coordinate with relevant partners on local requirements and company-wide initiatives.
  • Bring insight to people decisions. Analyze patterns in attrition, hiring, and engagement. Translate findings and employee feedback into actionable recommendations for leaders.
  • Improve how HR works. Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, strengthen HR systems, and reduce repetitive work, including through thoughtful use of automation and AI.
Qualifications
Required:
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial HR Business Partner or HR generalist experience.
  • Experience supporting a startup or other growing organization and implementing HR practices, processes, and programs that adapt as the business evolves.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach managers, influence leaders, and connect people recommendations to business needs.
  • Experience independently managing employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, and sensitive employee situations.
  • Experience managing PEO and/or HR vendor relationships across benefits, payroll, systems, and employee service escalations.
  • Strong working knowledge of US employment law and multi-state requirements.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make timely decisions, work independently, and recognize when to involve others.
  • Clear, approachable communication, attention to detail, and strong follow-through.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and move comfortably between building new practices and delivering day-to-day support.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Israeli employment practices or experience partnering with Israel-based teams.
  • Experience supporting engineering, product, or R&D teams.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The annual base salary range for this role is $140,000–$160,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
  • Equity Eligible

  • Paid vacation and sick time and company holidays
