  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred.

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000

Position Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner will provide operational HR support, guidance, and strategic partnership to leadership and employees across assigned departments and locations. This role will serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, workplace investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and other employee-related matters. The HR Business Partner will work closely with organizational leadership to support a positive employee experience, strengthen employee engagement and retention, ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment practices, and help mitigate organizational risk.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to managers and leadership on employee relations and performance management matters.
  • Provide coaching and guidance regarding employee performance, counseling, corrective action, career development, and other workplace concerns.
  • Respond to and investigate employee concerns and workplace issues as needed.
  • Manage complex and sensitive employee relations matters with a focus on fair and effective conflict resolution.
  • Partner with leadership on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and other corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance on company policies, employment laws, HR best practices, and workplace procedures.
  • Support leadership with employee assessments, career development, succession planning, and performance management.
Business Partnership & HR Strategy
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and serve as a strategic HR partner to assigned departments and locations.
  • Partner with leadership to align HR strategies and initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics to identify opportunities and recommend solutions, policies, programs, and process improvements.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and positive workplace culture initiatives.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist with training needs assessments and training delivery.
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Review and oversee personnel actions and performance reviews in coordination with payroll and other HR functions.
  • Manage unemployment claims and related activities for assigned areas.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare HR reports, statistics, and analysis as requested.
  • Participate in recruitment initiatives and New Hire Orientation as needed.
  • Partner with internal departments to connect employees with available training, workforce development, and support resources.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide HR support as needed.
  • Travel to assigned work locations as required.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a strong emphasis on employee relations and performance management.
  • Experience conducting or supporting workplace investigations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and applicable employment laws.
  • Experience advising managers and leadership on employee relations and performance issues.
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong conflict resolution and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between work locations as needed.
  • Ability to participate in a rotational on-call HR support schedule.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
