Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education or like degree program preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of general human resources experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-unit environments.
  • Strong knowledge of employment practices and laws (FMLA, FLSA, etc.).
  • Experience delivering training to large audiences and using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains productive relationships with managers and associates to facilitate service; manages complex employee relations issues and conducts investigations as needed.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers, including coaching and progressive counseling and documentation.
  • Identifies training needs and develops content; facilitates targeted training and education policies.
  • Assists with annual performance appraisal process and LMS usage.
  • Supports onboarding and develops community-specific assimilation strategies for new hires.
  • Administers associate recognition programs and conducts exit interviews to identify turnover trends.
  • Helps managers understand and apply company policies; collaborates with HR to respond to leave, benefits, talent acquisition, and workers compensation questions.
  • Travel to sites in suburban Detroit area and occasional out-of-state trips.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a consultant to management and staff on human resources related issues with a focus in employee relations and training.The position acts in the best interests of our organization by aligning service delivery with strategic goals, associate needs and HR best practices.Responsibilities include coaching, counseling, support of new hire orientation, systems training, facilitation of technical training, leadership development, and familiarity with our online learning management system.This position reports to the Human Resource Manager, Employee Relations and Training and is a member of the HR team in our main office.Individuals in this role must rely on sound problem-solving skills, resourcefulness and good judgment.They focus on delivering exceptional customer service to our most important asset -our associates.The Business Partner thrives on providing hands-on strategic coaching and training to staff and get a sense of satisfaction out of each day bringing new and exciting challenges.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains productive and collaborative relationships with managers and associates in order to facilitate effective service to Singh associates. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.Partner with leadership to ensure thorough and objective investigations when the need arises.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers on proper coaching and progressive counseling process.This includes; drafting documentation, assuring consistency, recommendingappropriatecourse of action, and modeling proper techniques.
  • Identifies training needs for the organization as a whole as well as individual leadership coaching needs.Develops content and facilitates targeted training.
  • Develops education and training policies and procedures for the company through collaboration with interdisciplinary functional areas throughout the organization.
  • Assist with the annual performance appraisal process and respond to questions regarding both crafting constructive feedback in the review as well as the technical component in our Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Works with communities on effective and comprehensive onboarding and help develop community specific strategies for assimilating new hires into our organization.
  • Administer associate recognition programs.
  • Conducts exit interviews as needed and identify turnover trends.Participates in developing strategies for improvements based on feedback from communities.
  • Assists managers with understanding and applying company policies.
  • Become knowledgeable in other areas of HR to respond to basic associate questions related to leave administration, benefits, talent acquisition, workers compensation.

  • Research educational needs and develop training plans for all levels of the organization to include hourly staff, managers, resident care staff, and senior leadership
Job Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as LMS, applicant tracking andHRISprograms
  • PHR or SHRM-CPpreferred.
  • Ability to travel to sites in the suburban Detroit area, and sporadic overnight travel out of state.
