Best Care Health & Rehabilitation – Exceptional Living Centers in Wheelersburg, OH seeks a People Operations professional to manage HR processes end-to-end and partner with leadership to meet workforce needs. The role covers payroll, benefits, onboarding, and HRIS administration for facility teams.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in HR, knowledge of federal/state laws, and experience with HRIS; healthcare experience and HR certification are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of human resources experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using an HRIS system.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws/regulations.
  • Long-term care or health care experience preferred.
  • HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees with HR-related inquiries and issues.
  • Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to evaluate workforce needs for assigned business units.
  • Manage full-cycle talent acquisition activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and making employment offers.
  • Ensure pre-employment steps are completed before new hires are scheduled, including background checks, drug screens, state and federal fingerprint requirements (if applicable), and verification/documentation of education, licensure, training, and vaccination.
  • Complete onboarding and coordinate new hire orientation.
  • Administer Family and Medical Leave, including responding to leave requests, monitoring employees on leave, and communicating the conclusion of leave.
  • Serve as the payroll and time/attendance administrator for the facility and act as the facility liaison to the corporate payroll team.
  • Maintain accurate employee records by updating and administering employee data in HRIS.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Lead employee relations activities and HR projects.
  • Provide support and coaching to leaders and managers to resolve employee relations issues and to guide performance management.
