Job summary

Humani HR, based in Toronto, seeks an HR Business Partner to provide strategic HR guidance to a portfolio of clients. You will lead projects from diagnosis to implementation, develop HR roadmaps, and ensure high-quality services that drive business results.

You will build policies from the ground up, advise CEOs and leaders, and manage relationships with a solutions-focused approach. Occasional travel and client visits are expected.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in HR or related field.
  • Professional HR designation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law across provinces.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HRBP for client accounts and advise on policies, compliance, compensation, HRIS, audits and payroll oversight.
  • Build trusted client relationships and identify effective HR solutions.

Strong labour relations expertise, including collective agreement interpretation, grievance management, and employee relations in unionized workplaces, is preferred. Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements and experience supporting workplace safety programs is highly desirable.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for assigned client accounts, addressing a wide range of HR and organizational needs, including but not limited to developingor reviewing policies, organizational compliance, compensation analysis, HRIS analysis or implementation, audits, recruitment support, performancemanagementand employee relationsandother HR functionsincluding payroll processing and oversight.
  • Build andmaintainstrong trusted relationships with client leaders and stakeholders.
  • Conduct needs assessments to diagnose client challenges andidentifyeffective HR solutions that align with client businessobjectives.
  • Lead andfacilitateclient meetings to gather insights, present recommendations, develop HR Roadmaps, and drive decision‑making.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client requests,demonstratingactive listening and clear communication.
  • Manage client expectationsregardingtimelines, deliverables,scope,and budget
  • Proactivelyanticipateclient needs and suggest solutions aligned with their business context.

YourExperience:

As an HR Business Partner with7+ yearsofprogressive client-facing HR experience, you bring solid leadership and business acumenwith a:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple clientswhile tailoringyour approachtosuitdiverse client needs.
  • Ability toleverageteam strengths to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work collaborativelywith Generalists, Senior HRBPs, and cross-functional team members to ensure seamless client service and collective problem-solving.
  • Commitment to continuous learning development, actively seeking feedback and applying lessons learned to enhance overall effectiveness.
  • Builds credibility through clear, honest communication that balances empathy with directness, influencing outcomes whilemaintainingstrong relationships.
YourSkillset & Credentials:
  • A degree or diploma in HR or related field.
  • Professional HR designation ispreferred.
  • Strong understanding of employment law across multiple provinces.
  • Proactive self‑management:You are expected to be self‑driven, managing your workload and meetingcompetingdeadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Strategic Communication and Influence:Engages effectively with diverse audiences – from executives to frontline employees – adapting communication style to meet audience needs and strengthening leadership awareness across the organization.
  • Technology: Ability to quickly learn new tools and platforms. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and exceptional spreadsheet and presentation‑building skills. Adaptability is essential, as our clients use a wide range of software.
