Job summary
AlertMedia is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing People team in downtown Austin. You will partner with business leaders to drive HR priorities, enhance the employee experience, and deliver People initiatives across AlertMedia.
You will collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to align HR actions with company culture and values, while guiding organizational design and workforce planning in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of HRBP experience in a technology company (SaaS preferred).
- Experience with shift-based teams, engineering and leadership teams.
- Proven ability to coach, influence and solve problems at senior levels.
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and data-driven mindset.
Responsibilities
- Develop department talent strategies to support rapid growth.
- Consult and counsel senior leaders and their organizations.
- Partner on organizational design, workforce planning, and performance management.
- Create and analyze business metrics on retention and employee experience to drive improvements.
- Leverage AI tools to streamline People processes and insights from workforce data.
- Investigate employee relations issues, mitigate risks, and ensure fair practices.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements for day-to-day HR management.

AlertMedia is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing People team in our beautiful downtown Austin headquarters! Our People team provides a world-class HR experience from the candidate interview stage to the new hire orientation and throughout their career at AlertMedia. You will partner with our business leaders to develop and execute Human Resources priorities that enable business goals and enhance the employee experience. You will collaborate with professionals in the HR, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams to deliver on People initiatives across AlertMedia. We are looking for an experienced professional who will not only partner with business leaders but also identify and drive appropriate solutions that are aligned with our overall culture and values.
You have strong HRBP experience and would consider yourself a flexible, adaptable, and proactive team player. Supporting others and keeping employee experience at the forefront of your decisions while also being discerning as to what is best for the business is where you thrive. You enjoy collaborating across teams and have strong influencing skills which you can apply across all levels of the organization. You have strong business and data acumen, executive coaching skills, excellent communications skills, strategic thinking, and planning/project management skills are your strengths. You use data as a foundation for your recommendations, and you feel extremely comfortable in Excel. You embrace AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies to improve productivity, analyze data, streamline workflows, and enhance decision-making while maintaining sound HR judgment. You understand balancing competing priorities and conflicting opinions to facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business, in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change. Your mantra is "we're all in this together" and are a true team player who is willing to jump in, roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed.
- Partner with senior leaders and their leadership teams to develop department talent strategies needed to support our tremendous growth
- Function as a consultant and counselor to key leaders and their respective organizations
- Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, talent review, performance management, and skills assessment and development
- Create, review, and analyze business metrics including retention, employee experience, performance management, and employee trends in order to recommend improvements
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve People team processes, generate insights from workforce data, automate administrative tasks where appropriate, and identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience
- Work with line managers and employees to address various employee relations issues; conduct thorough investigations, mitigate risks, and provide fair and equitable best practices
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Act as a trusted, expert HR resource for employees, with a high level of discretionand confidentiality
- 3-6 years of HRBP experience in a technology company, with majority in the software tech industry; Saas experience preferred
- Experience with shift based teams, engineering and leadership teams required
- Experience in a fast-paced, rapid growth organization
- Advanced skills in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, X, etc..)
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve efficiency, enhance analysis, solve business problems, and increase productivity. Curiosity and enthusiasm for adopting emerging AI technologies in HR are highly valued.
- Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem solving
- Strong judgment and experience coaching senior leaders
- Broad experience and knowledge of various aspects of human resource, including employee relations, learning, and performance
- Self-starter and team player, willing to jump in on all projects as needed
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding support to all employees
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
This is a hybrid role with regular in-office collaboration for candidates residing in Austin, TX or surrounding areas available to work from our downtown Austin headquarters
