Job summary

CNO Financial Group offers a paid HR Benefits, Wellness and People Focus Intern position in Carmel, IN or Chicago, IL. You will support benefits programs, wellbeing initiatives and People Focus projects while collaborating with HR associates.

Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related field, be a rising junior or senior, and available for 10–12 weeks in summer 2027. Hybrid work is available with opportunities to engage in BRGs and events.

Qualifications

• Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resources, industrial psychology, communications or related discipline.
• Rising junior or senior with graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2029.
• Available to work 40 hrs/week for 10-12 weeks during the summer.
• Preferred or willing to work Central or Eastern US time zone business hours.

Responsibilities

• Network with associates and senior leaders across functions to foster collaboration and insights.
• Assist in gathering data and essay responses for well‑being applications.
• Participate in vendor demos and market analysis projects.
• Assist in projects related to benefits, well‑being, and Human Resources.
• Support communications, flat sheets and videos about Benefits, Well‑being and People Focus.
