Job summary

WEC Energy Group is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern - HR Benefits in Milwaukee, WI. This full-time internship provides exposure to comprehensive benefits programs while working in a hybrid remote/on-site setup.

Interns will support the benefits team, gain hands-on experience in HR operations, and collaborate with staff across departments. The program emphasizes professional development and practical benefits knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a four-year degree program in Business Administration with HR focus and graduation after June 2027.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills demonstrated in academic or prior work experience.
• Familiarity with HR concepts and benefits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Benefits team with projects and day-to-day tasks.
• Develop benefit knowledge and customer-facing communication skills.
• Support aspects of medical, prescription drug, dental, life, and retirement benefits; travel within WEC footprint may occur occasionally.
