Job summary

Lansing Community College is looking for a FT Admin - HR Benefits Coordinator to serve as the primary resource on benefits, including health, retirement, and tuition waiver programs. You will manage enrollments, changes, and cancellations, and maintain HR systems and portal content with COBRA, ACA, and FMLA compliance.

The role supports payroll accuracy, administers leaves, and collaborates with Purchasing to maintain employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Significant years of experience in employee benefits administration or an HR generalist role with benefits responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience with employee benefits programs (i.e. wellness, medical, dental programs).
• Demonstrated experience using computer applications and office software (i.e., MS Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource for employees on all benefits-related matters, including health, retirement, and tuition waiver programs.
• Manage employee benefits enrollments, changes, and cancellations; maintain HR systems and portal content; ensure COBRA, ACA, FMLA, and other laws compliance.
• Support payroll accuracy, administer leaves of absence and accommodations, and collaborate with Purchasing to maintain employee discounts and perks.
