Job summary

WEC Energy Group is seeking a May 2027 Intern – Tax in Milwaukee or Green Bay, WI, with hybrid work flexibility. The full‑time Summer 2027 internship may transition to part‑time later. The hourly rate is $21.30 with paid company holidays.

The Tax team handles federal/state returns, tax accounting for SEC filings, forecasting support, and tax planning. Strong analysis, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full‑time pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Analytics or related major; graduation after June 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Available for full‑time Summer 2027 internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in federal and state tax return preparation.
• Learn and become proficient in tax software as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of various federal and state tax return compliance.
• Assist in estimating taxes for the company’s financial forecast.
• Support tax audit administration as needed (collect and summarize data).
• Support internal control compliance and monthly tax accounting tasks.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, or related major
