Job summary

Wright State University seeks a Human Resources Associate to deliver high‑level service to employees, ensuring timely and accurate personnel transactions in compliance with laws and university policies. You will handle inquiries and route issues to resolution while supporting process improvements and independent projects.

This role requires strong data entry, confidentiality, planning and communication skills, plus proficiency with MS Office and HRIS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, depending on combination of education and full-time related work experience
  • Demonstrated integrity and judgement to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects and input data accurately into databases/HRIS

Responsibilities

  • Receives and processes employee paperwork for changes in pay, title, position, department, benefits, and deductions
  • Ensures compliance with laws, university policies, and bargaining agreements; supports Form I-9, E-Verify and related requirements
  • Maintains data integrity in HRIS; audits data and recommends process improvements
  • Performs complex personnel calculations and handles leave accrual adjustments
  • Identifies HRIS issues and assists with testing new processes and codes
