The State of Maine is seeking a dynamic and organized Human Resources Assistant in Augusta to join a 3-person Payroll Team. You will work through complex payroll rules, interpret contract provisions, and perform other HR functions as needed.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of HR administration policies, payroll practices, employee benefits, and collective bargaining agreements, with a strong commitment to service and accuracy in a government setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic human resources administration policies, procedures, and practices.
• Knowledge of payroll practices.
• Knowledge of employee benefits procedures and practices.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a 3-person Payroll Team to process payroll rules and tasks.
