The University of Michigan Institute for Social Research (ISR) seeks an HR Assistant to join the Human Resources team. You will provide customer-focused HR assistance to research centers, handling administrative and transactional support for HR processes.

The mission of the Institute for Social Research (ISR), the premier university-based social science research institute in the world, includes developing, conducting, and disseminating groundbreaking social science research, as well as training future generations of social scientists. ISR research and training is conducted across the five centers through the efforts of more than 350 primary and supplemental faculty, 600 regular staff, and upwards of 1,000 contingent (temporary) staff located across the country. Each of the Institute's five research centers has unique human resources needs and strategies.

High school degree with at least 2 years of related HR experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, or a related field

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, working at least three days per week on‑site in Ann Arbor, MI after an initial training period. Flexible work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change dependent on the business needs of the hiring department, throughout the course of employment.
The requirements listed reflect an HR Assistant Intermediate. Candidates with lesser experience are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the primary goal is not met as an HR Assistant Associate.
Salary may vary depending on qualifications, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
HR Assistant Intermediate 2 years + experience - $44,000 To $52,000
