Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) plays an important role in the success of Michigan Medicine by providing clinicians, educators, researchers, students, and staff with technology-related information, products, services, and excellent support. The HITS Academic IT division serves both the education and research communities at Michigan Medicine. We engage faculty, students, and staff to provide a holistic portfolio of software, applications, infrastructure, device support, and custom projects to promote innovation and excellence.
HITS is looking for a senior-level candidate to fulfill the role of an Academic IT Liaison. You will report to the Manager of the HITS Academic Engagement team and will be a guide for Michigan Medicine (MM) faculty. You will accomplish this through active engagement with units, departments (basic sciences and clinical), centers, and numerous Medical School IT governance committees. You will work with researchers and educators to identify and aid in the use of technology services that will best support their academic activities. Your work is directly aligned with the education and discovery strategic pillars of the Medical School. You will work collaboratively within the Academic Engagement team, build relationships with other HITS and Campus IT teams, and navigate a broad portfolio of IT service offerings available on Campus.
