Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an HR Analytics Specialist to support the U.S. Navy Team Submarine Program Offices in the Washington, DC area.

The role blends HR data analytics with SharePoint development, list management, and workflow automation to deliver actionable insights. You will extract, clean, and analyze HR data from multiple systems, build dashboards with Power BI, and automate HR processes across Microsoft 365 apps while ensuring data confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technical field, or managerial discipline.
• Active DoW Secret security clearance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in HR Analytics, HR Systems Administration (HRIS), BI, or related technical HR role.
• Advanced level understanding of DoD and US Navy mission, purpose, function and organization.
• Significant experience related to US Navy programs or operations.
• SharePoint development or Microsoft Power Apps experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, index‑matching, and data formatting).
• Professional experience building interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• M365 Ecosystem: Strong understanding of the broader Microsoft Office 365 environment (Teams, Power Apps, Forms, Outlook).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to analysis of programs to determine manpower resources.
• Utilizes modeling and analytic skills to determine costs and optimize workforce.
• Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
• Update, restructure, and clean up SharePoint lists and metadata to support HR processes.
• Design and build new SharePoint lists, views, and forms to capture HR data.
• Manage and audit permissions and security configurations in SharePoint Online.
• Improve UI/UX of internal HR SharePoint pages.
• Design, build, and troubleshoot automated workflows and SharePoint lists with Power Automate.
• Set up automated email alerts, approval flows, and status updates linked to SharePoint lists.
• Integrate SharePoint Online with Teams, Power BI, Outlook, and Power Apps.
• Extract, clean, and analyze complex HR datasets from payroll, performance, recruiting, demographics.
• Develop and maintain automated HR dashboards, reports, and KPIs using Power BI and Advanced Excel.
• Deliver insights on retention, turnover, headcount, and other HR metrics.
• Identify data quality issues and implement corrective actions.
