Job summary

SailPoint Technologies Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the IT Data Engineering team in the United States.

You will own data from ingestion through reporting, build modular dbt models in BigQuery, and deliver analytics-ready datasets for HR and People Analytics partners. You will design data pipelines, write optimized SQL, implement data quality tests, and maintain security and access controls across dashboards used by HR and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of analytics engineering or data engineering experience.
• Advanced SQL skills with window functions, CTEs, and tuning.
• Hands-on experience building data models in dbt with tests and docs.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse, preferably BigQuery.
• Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools (Airflow/Cloud Composer).
• Hands-on Tableau Desktop/Tableau Server/Cloud experience with RLS.
• Experience with sensitive/PII data and data privacy controls.
• Strong Git and CI/CD knowledge and practices.
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling and star schemas.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modular dbt models in BigQuery for clean datasets.
• Write performant SQL and optimize queries for speed and cost.
• Build data ingestion pipelines from Workday and other sources into the warehouse.
• Develop orchestration and scheduling for data workflows and monitor datasets.
• Define core business metrics to ensure consistency across reports.
• Implement dbt tests, docs, and code reviews to ensure quality.
• Enforce privacy and access controls for PII data, including Row-Level Security.
• Build Tableau data sources and dashboards for HR and leadership audiences.
• Support Tableau administration: permissions, publishing, refresh schedules.
• Create datasets for workforce analytics and forecasting use cases.
• Explore AI-assisted analytics for HR and business partners.
• Troubleshoot data issues end-to-end and drive root-cause fixes.
• Contribute to CI/CD, version control, and deployment practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and data products.
