Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a mission-driven Human Resource Administrator for the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Jessamine County. The role supports Kentucky veterans’ benefits programs and oversees HR processes, reporting, and records management.

Located near Lexington, the facility offers a collaborative team environment and strong mission impact for state employees. The KDVA HR team provides support from headquarters in Frankfort and regional offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of professional HR experience in Kentucky state government merit system or benefits administration.
• Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE.
• Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to multiple departments and supervisors regarding all aspects of HR processes and compliance.
• Develop and maintain multiple information systems and reporting requirements.
• Oversee the Commonwealth’s evaluation processes, reporting and deadline requirements for the facility.
• Team engagement, including education and assistance with learning and utilizing HR resources and systems.
• Detail oriented, builds and implements effective systems and processes.
• Maintains records, both electronic and paper.
