POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Administrator provides entry-level administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function. This hourly, non-exempt position helps maintain accurate employee records, supports recruiting and onboarding activities, assists with routine HR transactions and communications, and contributes to workplace culture and employer-branding activities under the direction of HR leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide day-to-day clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources function.
- Performaccuratedata entry and routine updates in the HRIS and department trackers.
- Maintain personnel files, employeerecordsand HR documentation in an organized and confidential manner.
- Complete employment verifications and other routine document requestsin accordance withestablished procedures.
- Schedule candidate interviews and support candidate communication and recruiting administration.
- Prepare and organize onboarding paperwork, orientation materials, I-9documentation,and other new-hire records.
- Process routine HRIS transactions and personnel documents as assigned.
- Assistwith employee badge processing, documentcollection,and record retention.
- Support routine reports, audits, traininglogistics, meetings, employeeevents,and HR communications.
- Respond to routine employee questions
- Assistwith approved social media posts highlighting workplace culture, recruiting, employee engagement, communityinvolvementand company events.
- Help gather approved photos and content,maintaincontent calendars, and escalated social media questions or concerns asappropriate.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Zero to two years of administrative, customer service,recruiting,or human resources experience.
- Basicproficiencywith Microsoft Office, including Outlook,Word,and Excel.
- Accurate data-entry skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to organize records, prioritize routineassignments,and meet deadlines.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability tolearnHR systems,procedures,and recordkeeping requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration,Communicationsora relatedfield.
- Experience using an HRIS or applicant tracking system.
- Experience creating professional social media content or using tools such as Canva.
- Experience supporting onboarding, employeeeventsor workplace-culture initiatives.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or similar operational environment.
ROLE BOUNDARIES
This position supports established HR processes and provides clerical and administrative assistance. Employee-relations decisions, investigations, corrective-action decisions, compensation decisions, policyinterpretationand other matters requiring independent HR judgment remain with HR leadership unless specifically delegated.
PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Frequent use of hands for typing,filingand handling documents.
- Occasional standing,walkingand movement throughout office and operational areas.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional exposure to a manufacturing environment, including moderate or loud noise, when supporting employees or company activities.
