The Accelerator Division’s RF Department is seeking an Electronic Technician with experience in radio frequency to support PIP‑II high‑level RF systems and other electronics. The position reports to an engineer or senior technician.
Human factors: heavy lifting, mental concentration, sitting, standing, tight schedule, repetitive motion, visually demanding. Must be able to lift 40 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, stand for up to four hours per day, work occasional overtime on short notice, and legally operate cars and light trucks.
Physical factors: meet ODH requirements for occasional work in areas with superconducting RF cavities, pass electrical safety and environmental safety courses, meet radiation‑worker training requirements for occasional accelerator enclosure access, work with epoxies, solvents, glues, and other chemicals.
