Job summary

Actalent in Omaha, NE is seeking an Analytical Chemist specialized in HPLC to perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. You will operate, troubleshoot, and interpret data from HPLC systems while ensuring compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations.

This contract-to-hire role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology and 2+ years of leadership or project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience with HPLC/UPLC and data interpretation.
• Familiarity with FDA, cGMP, and quality systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP Business One.

Responsibilities

• Conduct HPLC-based assay, impurity, stability, and release testing.
• Analyze chromatographic data and document results for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on HPLC systems and related instruments.
• Prepare technical reports, SOPs, and validation/writing tasks under GMP.
• Coordinate laboratory testing to support manufacturing schedules and product release.
