Tokio Marine HCC International in New York seeks an Underwriting Intern to support the Healthcare Professional Liability team. Based in the NYC Office, this role is four days per week, with a start on 5/18/2027 and end on 8/7/2027, offering hands-on exposure under supervision.

You will review submissions, assist with risk assessments, maintain electronic files, help prepare indications, and participate in events and strategy sessions while developing essential underwriting and communication

Qualifications

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree and either be a current or recent enrollee in relevant field.
  • Our ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and a team-player who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Spring 2028 graduation strongly preferred.
  • 60 hours of general college coursework with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Compensation & Pay Transparency (New York)

The pay range for this position is $23-29/hour, which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable.

The pay range is the range TMHCC in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

The hired applicant will be offered pay within the entire range based on the candidate’s geographic location, qualifications, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
