Job summary

Synergy ECP in Columbia, SC is seeking a senior storage systems engineer to optimize storage performance and reliability across block and file systems. The role requires deep knowledge of I/O paths, kernel tuning, and OS debugging within a fast-moving, highly technical team.

You will contribute to designing robust storage solutions, implement tuning strategies, and collaborate with software and hardware teams to meet mission-critical requirements in a government/defense context.

Qualifications

• Strong storage skills in both block and file systems.
• Understanding of I/O, kernel tuning, OS debugging/tracing.
• Agile and able to context switch in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong scripting/programming background: C, Perl, Bourne Shell/Bash, or Python.
