Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Software Integration Engineer 2 to support the integration and operation of software within high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This role focuses on mission operations infrastructure, including automation, monitoring, alerting, and resiliency of systems supporting critical workloads.

The ideal candidate will have strong Linux experience, scripting skills (Python, Bash, C), and familiarity with automation frameworks such as Salt and Ansible,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; additional 5 years may substitute.
• Minimum 6 years of experience supporting software integration in Linux-based environments.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent) is required.
• Strong Linux experience and scripting (Python, Bash, C) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, integrate, and maintain software in heterogeneous environments.
• Support HPC systems and applications to ensure continuous mission operations.
• Troubleshoot software and configuration issues across Linux platforms.
• Support automation, monitoring, alerting, and resiliency efforts.
• Assist with customer use case configuration and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python, Bash, or C.
• Utilize Automation frameworks such as Salt and Ansible.
• Maintain monitoring systems (Nagios/Thruk, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
• Use Git-based repositories for version control (e.g., Gitbucket).
• Collaborate with Jira, Confluence, and Slurm for workload management.
