Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners seeks a Software Integration Engineer 2 to support integration and operation of software in high-performance computing environments. The role emphasizes mission operations infrastructure, automation, monitoring, alerting, and system resiliency across Linux platforms.

You will troubleshoot customer use cases, develop scripts in Python/Bash/C, and collaborate with teams using Salt, Ansible, Jira, Confluence, and Slurm to ensure reliable performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 5 years may substitute
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Linux-based software integration
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or equivalent
• Strong Linux experience (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky/SLES/Ubuntu) and scripting
• Experience with automation, monitoring, and infra tools (Ansible, Salt, Nagios/Thruk, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, integrate, and maintain software in heterogeneous environments
• Support HPC systems and applications for continuous operations
• Troubleshoot software/config issues across Linux platforms
• Assist with automation, monitoring, alerting, and resiliency efforts
• Develop and maintain scripts/tools (Python, Bash, C)
• Utilize automation frameworks like Salt and Ansible
• Maintain monitoring/alerting (Nagios/Thruk, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
• Use Git-based repos (Gitbucket); collaborate with Jira/Confluence/Slurm teams
