Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners, Inc is seeking a Software Integration Engineer 2 to support HPC environments. You will install, configure, and maintain software, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to automation, monitoring, and resiliency across Linux systems. The role emphasizes scripting (Python/Bash/C), experience with Linux ecosystems, and collaboration using Jira/Confluence/Slurm.

A DoD 8570 IAT II certification and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 5 additional years may substitute.
• Minimum 6 years of experience supporting software integration in Linux-based environments.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent).
• Strong experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, SLES, Ubuntu) and scripting/programming (Python, Bash, C).
• Experience with automation, monitoring, and infrastructure tools (Ansible, Salt, Nagios/Thruk, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, integrate, and maintain COTS and GOTS software in heterogeneous environments.
• Support HPC systems and applications to ensure continuous mission operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and configuration issues across Linux-based platforms.
• Support infrastructure automation, monitoring, alerting, and resiliency efforts.
• Assist with customer use case configuration and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python, Bash, or C.
• Utilize automation frameworks such as Salt and Ansible.
• Maintain monitoring and alerting systems (Nagios/Thruk, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
• Use version control tools such as Git-based repositories (e.g., Gitbucket).
• Collaborate with teams using Jira, Confluence, and Slurm for workload management.
